Dave Lieberman

Dave Lieberman is Food Network’s hot young chef, the host of both Good Deal and Eat This. Dave is also a cookbook author (Young and Hungry published by Hyperion) and a private chef to individual and corporate clients. Dave takes fresh, simple ingredients and turns them into eye-popping dishes and a feast for every one of the senses.

Dave got his start cooking as a kid with his stay-at-home dad and then went on to work in restaurants around his hometown of Philadelphia. Dave carried his professional experience and love of food on to college where he and some of his friends started “Campus Cuisine” – a Connecticut public access cooking show. Dave enjoyed cooking on the show so much that he opened his own campus catering service.

During his senior year, Dave was discovered by Amanda Hesser of The New York Times, and was prominently featured in a front page article that appeared in the Dining In section of the newspaper. After graduating from Yale in 2003, Dave moved to New York City to work as a private chef and on his first cookbook.

When Dave isn’t taping for his shows or cooking for clients he travels to food and wine events both nationally and internationally. Dave is a contributor to Saveur Magazine and is a food columnist for Women’s Health. He can also be found visiting with his family in Philadelphia.
